What is a business incubator?

A business incubator is an organization designed to accelerate the growth and success of entrepreneurial companies through an array of business support resources and services that could include physical space, capital, coaching, common services, and networking connections.

Can I become a member at Catapult without participating in an incubator?

The short answer is “maybe”. As a non-profit, Catapult is funded to help businesses start and scale, and we do this though our different incubators. Therefore, most resources are focused on subsidizing the businesses that want to start and scale businesses.

However, we do offer a limited number Shared Space Memberships for people who do not need incubator programming, but that still want to be a part of an entrepreneurial community. These memberships do not include all of the amenities and resources and are not as subsidized as the Incubator Membership.

Shared Space memberships start at $220/mo for coworking.

What is Catapult's funding model?

Catapult is a non-profit. We exist due to the generosity of private donors and corporations. Half of our operating budget is covered by membership dues, and the other half is fundraised.

Donors support Catapult because they believe in the economic impact and community good that comes from supporting entrepreneurship.

There are other amazing coworking spaces in the area, so if you are looking for a space to work and are not starting or scaling a business, those may better fit your needs.
