As a music teacher, I experience a lot of different situations. One time in particular, I had a 5th grade student ask me for a feminine product in the middle of class, but she didn't know how to use it. It amazed me that of all the things kids know nowadays, she didn't know something so essential. That's when I realized that I needed to teach more than music. I started Bizzle to educate young girls about their first menstrual cycles and to give parents materials and resources to bridge the gap when it comes to having that conversation. I believe in empowering both young girls and their parents to make an uncomfortable conversation more natural.
