Sarah specializes in lifestyle family portraiture and is deeply moved by the intimate relationship between parents and their children. Over the years, she has slowly honed in on her passion for capturing the elusive and raw family dynamic that is typically hard to grasp through a still shot. The forever changing and evolving emotions of children inspire Sarah to continue reflecting on the photo shoot long after it’s finished. Running her own deeply fulfilling photography company has been one of the greatest gifts of Sarah’s life.
What inspired you to become an entrepreneur? My inspiration stems from my own children and family. I adore spending time with them, so naturally starting my own business from my passion of photography gave me the blessing of owning my time, and allowing my family to stay close and strong.
Who are your clients? Those who give me the freedom to play with their children to create real life moments–people who expect memorable and unique artwork to hang on their walls.
Three Wishes? To have an unlimited amount of time, to be a social media pro, and to be able to go back to my younger self and say, “It will all work out. Don’t rush.”
Hardest thing about starting your business? The administrative side of running the business was pretty terrifying at first!
Why Lakeland? Lakeland has a diverse group of residents. The restaurants, activities, and people keep everything fresh and positive; it’s a very inspirational little town to me. I’m extremely excited to watch the potential here continue to expand!
Favorite things to do in Lakeland? Eat, meet with friends at all the eclectic hang outs, and spend time at Magnolia Montessori Academy where my children attend.
How has Catapult helped you? The networking! I’ve met many influential friends and coworkers who have guided me through the process of running my business and helped me streamline my approach.
Secret Sauce? I am incapable of controlling my laughter, which makes life (and work) enjoyable and fun. I also have a special gift of connecting with and understanding kids!
