Navigate Counseling Services

Jason has lived in Lakeland for the last 11 years with his wife and 6 year old daughter and is passionate about serving those that struggle with mental health issues. He has ten years of experience in human services and gained his license in mental health counseling this year. His company, Navigate, was created to help successfully guide individuals and companies through life and work with workshops and consulting sessions. Jason believes in having a healthy work-life balance and is determined to positively change the mental health culture of Polk County workplaces.

What is your business? Counseling and consulting services for individuals and companies.

Who are your clients? 1) Working millennials that are in need of counseling services. 2) Companies that want to provide work-life balance workshops for their employees. 3) Companies that are interested in improving their policies to optimize employee retention and job satisfaction.

What inspired you to become an entrepreneur? I was inspired to change the atmosphere of the workplace where there is too often the void of a balanced culture. I saw many of my friends getting burnt out.

Hardest thing about starting your business? Getting over the fear of going out on your own and being fully responsible for your own sustainability.

Business wins? Gaining my mental health license and establishing a vibrant professional network within the community.

Three wishes? Eventually my own office space, a full client schedule, and a Toyota Tundra with my logo on the back…you know, for advertising.

Favorite things to do in Lakeland? Grab beignets at The Poor Porker, explore Circle B Bar Reserve, and walk around downtown with my family.

Why Lakeland? My family and I have been established in the Lakeland community for 11 years and I love investing back into this city.

How has Catapult helped you? It’s helped me find the atmosphere that I hope to help other companies create for themselves.

Secret Sauce? Show confidence gently so that you can guide people to the result they want without being arrogant or pushy.
