Loud Life Productions

Years ago, while driving through Costa Rica, Jamie was talking to a friend about his dream of owning a video production company. His friend, Lakeland videographer Andy McEntire, replied, “Don’t go to film school. Major in business and learn video somewhere else.” So he did. This lead him to start a media department for a general contractor, serve as creative director for a church, and own a video and live production company. Jamie and his family recently moved to Lakeland where they hope to one day have a home on a couple of acres, grow some food, have some animals, and prepare for the apocalypse.

What is your business? Loud Life is a production company that focuses on full service video productions, live production consultation, and brand regeneration. Our mission is to ensure that clients are seen and heard.

What inspired you to become an entrepreneur? The desire to never have a glass ceiling, having limitless growth potential, and the ability to chase my own vision.

Short term goals? To create space for other creatives to join me and to eventually hire my wife.

Hardest thing about starting your business? Leaving a financially secure job and believing that the work we were providing to our clients would be more than enough to support our family.

Three wishes? 1) Teleportation, because travel is a pain. 2) The ability to work with friends on every job. 3) Someone to organize my receipts!

Favorite things to do in Lakeland? 1) Date night at Poor Porker with the wifey. 2) Buying local at the Farmers Market. 3) Riding my motorcycle around town at sunset.

What would you like to see in Lakeland? Pipeline Dream – a surf pool. Personal Dream – a creative house. Practically – Trader Joe’s.

Why Lakeland? The city is very supportive of businesses and families. We wanted to be a part of what entrepreneurs, thinkers, ideators, and creatives were doing here!

How has Catapult helped you? It’s helped me connect with more people than I ever could have alone. The ability to converse, collaborate, and create with fellow entrepreneurs is fun and fulfilling.

Secret Sauce? Behind any noteworthy man is an incredible wife. She holds up the family and supports me in what I do.
