TELL US A LITTLE ABOUT YOURSELF.
I came to Lakeland as student at Florida Polytechnic University. I’m from the small town of LaBelle, Florida. Once I moved to Lakeland, I quickly fell in love with the city.
WHAT’S YOUR ELEVATOR PITCH?
I am a part of a small team who seeks to make technologies accessible like CMS, mobile apps, and websites to businesses that aren’t sure how to start.
WHAT IS SOMETHING YOU ARE LEARNING RIGHT NOW?
I love to cook! So I really enjoy experiment in the kitchen. So I am continually trying to expand my palate and cooking skills.
WHAT ARE SOME WAYS THAT YOU CONTINUE TO INNOVATE AND TO THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX?
I like asking people who are not involved in my industry whatsoever how they feel about certain technologies, apps, websites, etc. This helps me to refocus why small businesses need high-quality products for their people and clients.
WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PIECE OF ADVICE YOU HAVE RECEIVED ABOUT ENTREPRENEURSHIP?
Don’t let the business run you. Your own health and safety should come first.
ENTREPRENEURSHIP CAN BE A TOUGH AND LONELY ROAD. IN THE DIFFICULT MOMENTS HOW DO YOU STAY FOCUSED AND MOVE YOUR BUSINESS FORWARD?
Find your people. Have people that can support you, be honest with you, direct you, and you can rely on. Sometimes you need someone to tell you that what you are doing is a bad idea. I don’t believe that the road has to be so lonely.
WHY HAVE YOU CHOSEN TO RUN YOUR BUSINESS IN LAKELAND?
I found a growing community here. It’s slowly becoming a hub of sorts – we’re located right between Tampa and Orlando, some of the largest cities in the US!
WHAT ARE SOME WAYS THAT YOU HAVE INTENTIONALLY COLLABORATED WITH OTHERS TO MOVE YOUR BUSINESS FORWARD?
I seek advice. I am young and don’t want to be naive. I know there’s a lot of people out there doing a lot of what I am doing. I want to learn from their mistakes and seek their wisdom. I haven’t had a lot of direct collaboration on products, but there have been circumstances where advice took me a long way.
WHERE CAN WE GET YOUR PRODUCT?
They would have to contact my business partner directly. Since we are still students, we are still adapting to balance work, business, and studies – so we only take in a limited number of jobs for now.
