Do Kiss and Tell

Mario was raised in New York City by his single mother, who taught him the importance of hard work and discipline very early on. After admittance to the Air Force was declined for a lack of 20/20 vision, Mario employed the hard work his mother taught him to get into New Jersey Institute of Technology and become a mechanical engineer. Following college, Mario gave entrepreneurship a try and went through highs and lows in corporate America. It was not until just last year that he found what he had been searching for. His daughter, Crystal, had an idea for a product that gave a solution to a problem. Following extensive research, trial + error,  prototypes, and provisional patents, they finally unveiled their purposefully designed tool to best exfoliate your lips. Their product, the LipScrub brush, is now available online.

What is your business? E-Commerce in general and our Do Kiss And Tell (DK&T) brand focuses on beauty. Specifically, lip care in the form of our product the LipScrub brush.

Who are your clients? For DK&T, any man or woman that struggles with chapped, dry or flaky lips and wants them to look their best. We are targeting a demographic that tends to be more aware of how important it is to exfoliate their lips.

What inspired you to become an entrepreneur? Growing up in one of the tougher areas in New York and seeing your single parent work two jobs just to barely make ends meet really lit a fire underneath me. I quickly learned that education, developing in-demand skills, hard work, and building relationships are the keys to success moving forward.

What are some business wins? Creating a product from an idea of my daughter’s and bringing it to market is pretty precious.

What are your short-term goals? We would like to go from zero to 100,000 units sold by the end of this year.
