TELL US A LITTLE ABOUT YOURSELF.
I grew up in New Jersey, earned a marketing degree from Syracuse University, and moved to South Florida after graduation. That is where I met my Lakeland-born husband, and we moved here in 2005 so he could work at the headquarters of his family business. We have three children and enjoy spending time together, our favorite activities being cooking, snow skiing, exercising, and movie nights.
WHAT IS YOUR ELEVATOR PITCH?
For residential construction projects, Bell House Designs uses 3-D software to bridge the gap between what the architect designs and the interior decorator finishes. We offer real-time modifications to floor plans so clients can instantly see how their spaces change when interior dimensions are modified.
WHAT IS SOMETHING YOU ARE LEARNING RIGHT NOW?
Something I am constantly learning is how people use their spaces differently. Planning ahead for those unique needs takes some time up front but is worth the effort for spaces that will be used for many years.
WHAT ARE SOME WAYS THAT YOU HAVE INTENTIONALLY COLLABORATED WITH OTHERS TO MOVE YOUR BUSINESS FORWARD?
To move my business forward, I have intentionally reached out to designers who already have their own clients. It was interesting to learn that being one or two degrees removed from the home owner would actually be a good source of business.
ENTREPRENEURSHIP CAN BE A TOUGH AND LONELY ROAD. IN THE DIFFICULT MOMENTS HOW DO YOU STAY FOCUSED AND MOVE YOUR BUSINESS FORWARD?
In difficult moments, I keep motivated by thinking of where I could be now if I had never procrastinated!
WHY HAVE YOU CHOSEN TO RUN YOUR BUSINESS IN LAKELAND?
Lakeland does not currently have anyone else who offers three-dimensional home design services as a stand-alone solution. And, with the current growth occurring in Lakeland, there is a tremendous opportunity to help homeowners with their designs.
My favorite dessert is anything chocolate … and ice cream is so “important” to me that I named our dog Breyer.
WHEN YOU WERE A KID WHAT DID YOU WANT TO BE WHEN YOU GREW UP?
When I was a kid, I wanted to be a pastry chef or a vineyard owner.
HOW DO YOU DRINK YOUR COFFEE?
I drink my coffee with a scoop of chocolate protein powder (this may seem odd, but with the right brand of protein powder it really works).
