Covet Studio

Paul has been in the web world for over a decade. After earning a BS from Southeastern University, he pursued freelance web design, development, and consulting and spent the first 6 years working with photographers, musicians, and bloggers. In 2013, Paul became a Partner and Senior Director for web and e-commerce at Digital Media Management (DMM) in Beverly Hills, CA. At DMM, he led a team to conceptualize, plan and execute original designs for website properties, opened the e-commerce division, and led operations, product development, and marketing. Paul is a real one-stop-shop with plenty of experience. After the transition out of his role at DMM, he used that experience to pursue a new venture: Covet Studio.

What is your business? Covet Studio helps brands elevate their web or e-commerce game. We offer solutions for UI/UX Design and Development.

Who are your clients? We serve anyone looking to elevate their web presence.

What inspired you to become an entrepreneur? I saw a need for affordable web services without sacrificing quality and felt a passion to fill that void.

What are some business wins? Helping a new skincare company build a beautiful e-commerce presence. I was able to take them from an F to an A rating for site speed and increase their organic search ranking with SEO.

What are your short-term goals? I just moved back to Lakeland from Los Angeles, so I’d like to foster local relationships. I’ve also been so caught up with client work that I have neglected to finish Covet’s website! I am working to finish that as soon as possible.

Why Lakeland? There’s a culture here that I love. It’s artistic, creative, and has character. Lakeland has always felt like home to me. I’m glad to be back and can’t wait to add whatever value I can to the city.

How has Catapult helped you? Some people love working from home, but I need to separate my home-life from my work-life and I crave community. Catapult offers the perfect solution for both of those needs.

Secret Sauce? Experience. I’ve been a developer for 12 years, worked with small brands, Fortune 500 companies, movie studios, and celebrities. I’ve been around the block for a 32-year-old!
