Chris is a native Floridian and has been living in Winter Haven with his wife and three children for the last 14 years. He loves to learn new concepts and put them to use, believing that learning is the only way to increase professionalism and productivity. Chris is driven by relationships, not transactions. He believes that a company should be able to receive help at any point in their development and that there should be an ongoing relationship between business and clients. He loves to live out of his comfort zone and has created BrandAid to be a one-stop-shop for online marketing.
What is your business? BrandAid specializes in developing and implementing ongoing brand strategies through content writing, web development, video, branding design, social media, content coaching, IT services and marketing master plans for companies who want to have continued success.
What inspired you to become an entrepreneur? I mowed lawns as a kid to earn money, which grew into a summer business, which helped pay for college, which prepared me to launch my own business. I tried other jobs, but wanted the freedom to truly help my clients.
Business wins? We love giving back to the community so we recently did some pro-bono work for the Lakeland Academy. We helped them develop and implement a brand strategy that in turn will lead to more people doing great things for the community. It was very rewarding!
Why Lakeland? I admire the way this community believes in supporting local business. The actions of local government prove that they want entrepreneurs to succeed and the community to thrive.
Favorite things to do in Lakeland? Taking our kids to Barnett park (especially the Splash Pad!), hanging out downtown, and shopping at Hobby Lobby.
How has Catapult helped you? I’ve gained a sense of belonging to the entrepreneurial community. Catapult provides an atmosphere to connect, collaborate, and do business. The relationships I’ve made are invaluable to my company.
Secret Sauce? We listen.
