Fall Pop-Up Series in Full Swing
Fall Pop-Up Series in Full Swing
October 5, 2021

Our fall pop-up series made its way back to the patio on September 17th. Both returning members like Blue Dog Craft Barbecue and new features such as Pinoy Cravings debuted their delicious food for the Lakeland community! If you want to learn more about our pop-ups, including when they occur and how to join us, keep on reading!

What is a pop-up?

Pop-up events are temporary, unexpected events in unique spaces. Here at Catapult, we host pop-up events featuring our small food business members that spend their time in our commercial kitchen. These vendors vary from plant-based foods, acai bowls, Latin and Asian cuisine, baked goods, barbecue, teas, and more!

Who can come to these events?

Catapult encourages anyone from the local community to come and join us every Friday for a different showcase. You do not need a Catapult membership to join the pop-up scene and enjoy new flavors from around the world! Our goal is to introduce Lakeland to our small food business owners and the flavorful fare they create alongside the passion behind their vision.

Where are the pop-up events located?

Every Friday, you can find our pop-up window and patio on the right side of our building next to our cultivate mural. Parking and entrance will be clearly labeled for your direction to ensure your experience is as welcoming and convenient as possible! Catapult’s parking lot is open to pop-up customers.

How can I learn about upcoming pop-ups?

Catapult has a weekly newsletter that includes the menu for the upcoming pop-up, as well as introductions and further contact information for that week’s small food business owners. Subscribe below to our mailing list!

Who Has Been Showcased in the Past?

Vegetation Plant Food was founded by Rima Schillinger. Rima and her team bring healthy and hearty plant-based foods to Lakeland that pack a punch of flavor in every bite.

Casita Verde, created by Giovanna Favilli, brings enticing flavors of Nicaragua to our square of Florida. From Kombucha to hot sauce, Casita Verde’s fare should not be missed!

Max Miller, founder of Blue Dog Craft Barbecue, is a crowd favorite when it comes to pop-ups. 16 hour long smoked meats and artisan sides make it easy to see why!

Jarrett and Michelle Benavides kill the pop-up game time and time again, bringing another avenue of vegan food to the community. They strive to bring convenience and flavor together, and do so successfully!

Hannah Dinsmore, a student at Florida Southern, is the founder of Greenhouse Acai, and serves refreshing acai bowls, smoothies, and more!

Pinoy Cravings is cofounded by Josephine, Jan, and Rovin. The trio whips up delectable Filipino food, bringing the flavors of Southeast Asia right to your plate!

We hope that you will join us in the future to support the growing businesses, enjoy the friendly company, and experience the enticing food provided.
