Why Coworking is for You

It is way too easy to neglect tasks when working from home.

At home, you’re comfortable and your couch is available and there’s no one around to keep you accountable, making the decision to be productive much harder to stick to.

On the other end, for all the workaholics out there, working from your house can quickly have home feeling less like the safe haven it should be because there is no distinction between your place of rest and your place of work.

For these reasons and the six more listed below, we think you should seriously consider coworking.

Space

Our brains are funny things in that, without our conscious awareness, they are triggered by factors like smells, sounds, routines and spaces. We tend to mentally check into work mode whenever we’re located in a working environment, even unintentionally. Chances are, your local coworking space (*cough, cough – Catapult Lakeland!) offers more than your house does in terms of working environment vibes and triggers.

Affordability

When considering the available options for entrepreneurs, business owners and the like who are looking to work for themselves outside of their homes, coworking is almost always the cheapest way to go.

Inspiration

Generally speaking, coworking spaces are designed to inspire. Ambiance, pizzaz, vibe, whatever you want to call it, coworking spaces embody it. At Catapult Lakeland, we have incorporated the feeling of hard work (and trendiness) through our warm, rustic theme. Not only is the place visually pleasing, it also holds a range of comfortable and unique working space as well as a plethora of books that are available for both reference and revelation.

Perks

Hellooo free snacks, amiright? Not to mention fiber-optic (aka, super fast) wifi, office supplies, printing/copying, conference rooms–even business mentors and advantageous seminars.

Community

One of the coolest aspects of entrepreneurship is the reach for the stars brand that surrounds it. When working with other entrepreneurs, there is no restriction as to what the person sitting next to you does for a living. They could bake wedding cakes, train dogs, design advertisements, develop computer software–the possibilities are endless.

You never know how your coworking neighbor’s business could positively coincide with your own or what valuable insight you could gain from their experience. The opportunity for networking is incessant, and the ability to help and learn from the peers you work alongside everyday is priceless.

Location

Having a central location for your clients to meet you that isn’t Starbucks is a total game changer. Many times, (as is the case with Catapult Lakeland), coworking spaces are intentionally located in downtown areas so as to be right in the middle of the action, easy to access for both business owners and their consumers.
